During the summer of 2026, ten students from San Antonio’s sister city of Kumamoto, Japan attended the inaugural Sister Cities Youth Summit hosted by Students of Service and the City of San Antonio. During their visit, a earthquake struck Kumamoto and students came up with the idea of creating a video message from all the students, staff, and delegations showing their support.
