Serve Program Highlights

Curated Service Events

SOS provides youth-friendly community service events year round. We provide trained adult supervision at each event, so parents can drop off or stay and help!

As a Student Volunteer

SOS partners with a wide range of organizations to provide a variety of volunteer opportunities. We partner with more than 50 local agencies to host curated volunteer experiences for teens. We also create opportunities for people to volunteer remotely from anywhere.

To get started, all you need to do is to sign up for our SOS Opportunity Passport newsletter and make your account in the SOS Portal!

Make it Happen Initiative

Students in SOS have the opportunity to make a change in their community with an idea of their own. We'd love to hear your idea about how you choose to make change.

Parents, Educators, and Community Members

We have lots of ways for adult volunteers to get involved with SOS!

  • Parents are welcome to create their own SOS Portal account and sign up for events along with their students. They can also volunteer as event Site Leaders (see below).

  • Educators can serve as Site Leaders, Club Sponsors, and Trip Chaperones!

  • Community members can serve as event Site Leaders and help supervise students at our Serve events.

  • Interested in becoming a Site Leader? Complete our Volunteer Staff Application or reach out to Volunteer@sossanantonio.org for more info!

  • Are you a nonprofit that needs student volunteers for an upcoming event? Request them below!
