2026 SOS Sister Cities Youth Summit

July 27-29, 2026 | San Antonio, TX

This summer, Students of Service is bringing together high school students from San Antonio and around the world for the first-ever SOS Sister Cities Youth Summit — a unique international leadership experience focused on creating more sustainable cities.

Over three days, students will collaborate with peers from 8 sister cities across the globe, exchange ideas, explore global challenges, and compete in a team pitch competition designed to inspire innovative solutions for the future.

Participation is completely free for selected students.

Youth Summit Details

The 2026 SOS Sister Cities Youth Summit will take place July 27–29, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas and will focus on the theme of Sustainable Cities. The Summit is open to students entering grades 9–12 during the 2026–2027 school year, including graduating seniors from the Class of 2026. Participation is completely free.

Sister Cities Participating

Students will connect and collaborate with peers from:

  • Baguio City, Philippines

  • Darmstadt, Germany

  • Gwangju, South Korea

  • Kaohsiung, Taiwan

  • Kumamoto, Japan

  • Le Chesnay, France

  • Querétaro, Mexico

What Students Will Experience

  • International collaboration with students from around the world

  • Leadership development opportunities

  • Interactive workshops and discussions

  • Team-based innovation challenge

  • Cultural exchange experiences

  • Final team pitch competition

Students selected for the Summit will also attend a required pre-Summit orientation before the event.

Host Families Needed

SOS is also seeking host families from the San Antonio community to host visiting international students from July 23–30, 2026.

Students who serve as hosts will receive priority consideration for Summit participation, though hosting is not required to apply. Host families with high school-aged students in the home preferred.
