Students of Service Hosts Annual Global Guest Event Featuring Merrill Eisenhower Atwater

SAN ANTONIO, October 28, 2025 — Students of Service (SOS) welcomed community members, supporters, and partners to its Annual Global Guest Event at The Ralston at the San Antonio Zoo for an evening celebrating leadership, service, and global impact.

This year’s featured guest was Merrill Eisenhower Atwater — business executive, global strategist, and great-grandson of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Eisenhower joined SOS supporters for a conversation centered on leadership, global citizenship, and the importance of developing the next generation of changemakers.

Throughout the evening, guests heard about the transformative experiences SOS students gain through service and international learning opportunities. Eisenhower emphasized the importance of courage in leadership, sharing that “we need fearless leaders and people who are not afraid to fail” — a message that closely aligns with the mission of SOS.

The event highlighted the growing impact of SOS programs in preparing students to become empathetic, purpose-driven leaders equipped to make meaningful contributions both locally and globally.

SOS is grateful to all who attended and supported this signature event, helping advance opportunities for students across San Antonio to learn, serve, and explore.
