What is Goodnatured Goods?
Goodnatured Goods is a small give-back business sponsored by Students of Service (SOS), devoted to using art as both a medium for expression and service. We sell various types of artistic goods and donate a portion of the profits made to charities and other organizations, individuals, and communities in need. These artistic goods are currently solely made, but interested individuals can submit their art to be sold by Goodnatured Goods in exchange for volunteer service hours. Information on how to get involved by providing GG with your art can be found here.

Who manages Goodnatured Goods?
Goodnatured Goods was founded by Laylah Votion, a San Antonio junior at the Young Women’s Leadership Academy. Prior to Goodnatured Goods, Laylah created and managed Deaf Ally, a sponsored nonprofit through SOS' Make It Happen initiative in which she sold apparel and raised funds to purchase clear communication-accessible face masks for the d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She was able to donate upwards of 500 masks and raise over $3,000. However, after nearly a year and a half of managing Deaf Ally, she decided that it was time to evolve the brand as she had matured along with her aspirations. She realized that her calling is to help as many people and communities as she can and to do so through creating art– her second greatest passion.

What About Deaf Ally?
Laylah plans to donate to organizations, nonprofits, and/or Deaf-owned businesses that are committed to helping the Deaf community during the month of September. September is Deaf Awareness Month, which is of course still a valuable cause in which she is aligned with, and therefore she is looking forward to raising money to once again donate to a cause she holds so dearly to her heart!
